UCF Libraries Welcomes Samantha Buoye as Assistant Director of Development

The University of Central Florida (UCF) Libraries is pleased to announce the appointment of Samantha Buoye as Assistant Director for Development. In this role, Sam will lead efforts to expand and strengthen philanthropic support for UCF Libraries.

An alumna of UCF and a passionate advocate for education and the arts, Sam brings a diverse background in fundraising, strategic communication, and donor engagement. Most recently serving as a Digital Experience Officer at the UCF Foundation, she has cultivated and managed a robust portfolio of over 1,000 annual giving donors, developing personalized strategies to increase support and deepen relationships with the university.

While formally reporting to UCF’s Advancement & Partnerships team, Sam will also maintain a secondary reporting relationship with the Dean of UCF Libraries, ensuring alignment with Libraries’ strategic priorities that support development goals.

“As a lifelong library patron, avid bookworm, and proud UCF alumna, I am thrilled to join the UCF Libraries team,” said Buoye “The library was in invaluable resource for me as a student, and I am honored at the opportunity to give back and support its mission of academic success, research, creativity, and lifelong learning.”

In her new role, Sam will manage a portfolio of donors, identify and engage new prospects, and collaborate across departments to elevate the visibility and impact of giving to UCF Libraries.
