UCF Libraries Partners with Skilltype to Enhance Professional Development

The UCF Libraries have a new partnership with Skilltype, the leading talent management platform for libraries. This collaboration is part of a broader initiative from the Libraries that will use Skilltype’s innovative resources for professional development.

With Skilltype’s platform, UCF Libraries will be better equipped to support the growth of its faculty and staff. By offering data-driven insights, Skilltype will allow the Libraries to identify and nurture the skills and expertise of its team members, aligning with the mission to stay ahead in an ever-evolving academic landscape.

“I am thrilled to adopt Skilltype so that all of us in the UCF Libraries can grow professionally and be responsive to our campus needs. Skilltype’s engaged implementation allows for us to better understand our team’s skills and potential, ensuring that we achieve our goals of being impactful and staying relevant.” said Beau Case, Dean of Libraries at UCF.

This partnership comes at a time when libraries are playing an increasingly vital role in higher education, serving as hubs for both technology and research. Through Skilltype, UCF Libraries will offer personalized learning opportunities for staff, helping them stay on the cutting edge of library science and innovation.

In addition to improving internal talent management, the collaboration opens doors for greater collaboration across Florida’s state university system. With Skilltype, UCF Libraries is not only investing in its people but also ensuring it remains a dynamic center of knowledge and service for the UCF community.
