UCF Libraries Welcomes Rae Mair as new Embedded Learning Librarian!

The University of Central Florida (UCF) Libraries is proud to announce the appointment of Rae Mair as the new Embedded Learning Librarian serving the College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE).

Rae brings over a decade of experience in academic librarianship, instructional design, and educational technology. She has previously held librarian and instructional roles at institutions including Valencia College, Seminole State College, Xavier University of Louisiana, and the University of South Carolina. Rae is recognized for her collaborative, research-informed approach to teaching and learning support, and her ability to design impactful digital learning tools that have been adopted by more than 250 institutions globally.

Rae holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University and a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard University, where her interdisciplinary focus sparked a lasting commitment to pedagogy and student success.

“I am delighted to join UCF Libraries as their Embedded Learning Librarian for CCIE,” said Mair “Having witnessed UCF’s remarkable growth and its dedication to innovation, I’m excited to be a part of shaping the future of education and research through my work here.”

As Embedded Learning Librarian, Rae will partner closely with faculty to enhance research support, deliver dynamic instruction, and develop forward-thinking digital resources. Her appointment reflects UCF Libraries’ ongoing commitment to empowering academic achievement and lifelong learning through inclusive, expert-driven services.
