University Writing Center

Good news! The University Writing Center (UWC) is back, offering consultations on the Rosen campus again this semester:

  • University Writing Center consultations
    Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 10:45a-2:45p
    In the Rosen Library study rooms
    (phone and online consultations are also available by appointment)

The Writing Center consultants work with all kinds of writing and all subjects, at every stage of the writing process.

You can encourage your students to take advantage of this service by directing them to schedule an appointment with a UWC consultant by phone at 407-823-2197 or online at

Citation Management Workshop

More good news! Main campus Outreach Librarian Renee Montgomery will present a Citation Management workshop on the Rosen campus for graduate students and faculty members:

  • Citation Management Workshop (featuring EndNote and RefWorks)
    Friday September 10th, 1-2:30p
    In the Rosen Library instruction room (120F)

Come learn how to use these programs to collect citations, organize your references, and create bibliographies in standard citation styles.

Main Library Knowledge Commons Open

The new "Knowledge Commons" at the main library (the redesigned 2nd floor) is now open. Stop by if you're on the main campus, or check out some of the photos and coverage at the Knowledge Commons website.

"From the Stacks" Section Expanded

The "From the Stacks" section of Faculty Lines (see below) has been redesigned a bit, with the hope that it will be more useful for you. Instead of focusing mainly on new circulating books, this section will now explore a wider range of resources available for a particular area (key DVDs, reference books, websites, etc.). Let us know what you think!
