UCF's Hidden Artists on display during August

Updated on: Aug 2, 2012 @ 1:17:00 pm

You might find us in front of the classroom or in the office down the hall and yet never suspect the secret we share. We are artists. Whether we have exhibited in galleries around the world or have never shown our work before, we are artists. We present to you our dreams, our hearts, our passion…We are the Hidden Artists.
University of Central Florida has many talented employees who use their creativity in their daily jobs. Some of these employees are “visual artists” who create artwork on their own time for themselves, their families and/or for the public. They are the Hidden Artists.
The exhibit features the talents of:
Kathy Hudson –Housing and Residence Life, Student Development and Enrollment Services
Simona Loh – Student Legal Services, SDES
Linda Milner – Student Union, SDES
Brian Pate – Registrar’s Office, SDES
Judy Bragg Pardo – SDES
Dawn M. Herrod – College of Medicine
Jacqui D. Johnson – UCF Library
Neida Mora-Maus – Facilities, Planning & Construction
Russ Muller – UCF Regional Campuses
Fiona Murphy – Human Resources
Diane Colvin Reitz – Student Financial Assistance, Strategy, Marketing, Communications and Admissions
Tina Tran – Student Financial Assistance, SMCA
Artwork is exhibited on the Art Wall as well in five glass display cases and encompasses a variety of styles and mediums, including stain glass, photography, mixed media, acrylic, watercolor, oil, sculpture, graphic, digital, and “nature” art.

Becoming a tradition, this is the fourth year the Hidden Artists will exhibit artwork at the UCF Library. Many Hidden Artists have gone on to enter juried exhibitions and had their work displayed in other galleries.
The Hidden Artists exhibition will be on display at the UCF Library on August 1-31.

The exhibition brings together creativity and community. Hidden Artists membership is open to currently working UCF faculty or staff members who create artwork. For more information, email:
