News & Notes...

Game Day News

In case you haven't heard, Wednesday, October 6th is "Game Day" at UCF, with most university operations being altered that day. For example, classes will end on the Rosen campus at 3:00 p.m. and the Rosen Library will close at 5:00 p.m. (Main campus classes will end at 12:30 p.m.) For more details, see our Game Day post on the Rosen Library Blog.

University Writing Center

Please remember to encourage your students to take advantage of the services of the University Writing Center consultant at the Rosen campus!

Writing experts are available:
Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 10:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
In the Rosen Library study rooms

(Please note the following exception: there will be no UWC services on the Rosen campus on "Game Day," Wed. Oct. 6th.)

Students can schedule an appointment with a University Writing Center consultant by phone at 407-823-2197 or online at Walk-ins without appointments will also be helped, if availability permits.

Business is Booming!

Just in case you had any doubts, we can happily report that the Rosen Library is hopping this Fall! In the month of September....

  • More than 14,000 patrons came through the doors of the library
  • We circulated more than 990 library materials
  • We answered more than 700 questions
  • We reached more than 460 students through library instruction
  • Our website received more than 30,000 hits
