More Studyrooms, Longer than 2 Hours, Fix Elevators

Posted on: May 27, 2010 @ 9:00:10 am

Comment: More studyrooms. Longer than 2 hours. Fix elevators.

from the library: At this time, no space is available in the main library building for the construction of group study rooms. However, when it opens in Fall 2010, the Knowledge Commons will have seating that is conducive to group work.

Since there are 28 group study rooms, there are no plans to lengthen the borrowing period, in order to give a greater number of students a chance to use them.

There are 5 graduate study rooms on the 3rd floor. They have a 4 hour borrowing period to accomodate the needs of graduate students.

The Presentation Practice Room on 3rd floor has a 4 hour borrowing period as well. You can record your pesentation and burn a DVD ROM of your presentation. (The Suggestion Box is an advocate of recording your presentation: you will never be more young & beautiful than you are at this minute...)

The elevators are maintained by the University. They are the oldest elevators on campus (over 40). Good things come to those who wait.

As an option, there are 4 stairways in the main library building.
