Bestselling author John Grisham keeps us up all night with his latest legal thriller, The Associate. Kyle McAvoy is finishing his last year of law school as the editor-in-chief of The Yale Law Journal. He has his choice of any law firm in the country, until a corporate espionage ring finds a little secret in his past. Kyle and his college frat buddies struggle with the moral and legal implications of their drunken actions many years ago, while Kyle suffers over the legal and ethical implications of what his extortionists are forcing on him. Through him, Grisham reveals some of the ugly underbelly of working in a big New York City law firm.
Grisham sold the movie rights to Paramount a month before the book was even published. Paramount has already cast its latest up-and-coming star, Shia LaBeouf, to fill the title role. This film is sure to be a blockbuster like all of Grisham’s previous movie adaptations featuring Hollywood's best talent.
