Explore the Milky Way in a 360-Degree Panorama!

NASA’s Spitzer telescope spent the past decade snapping two million infrared photographs of our galaxy to stitch together a massive 360-degree panorama of the Milky Way. It’s the most detailed infrared panorama of our home galaxy ever made, and was derived from the GLIMPSE360 project.

Fieldwork for Healthcare: Case Studies Investigating Human Factors in Computing Systems is now available in the Synthesis Collection Five.

This is the first of two volumes designed as a collective graduate guidebook for conducting fieldwork in healthcare. This volume brings together the experiences of established researchers who do fieldwork in clinical and non-clinical settings, focusing on how people interact with healthcare technology, in the form of case studies. These case studies are all personal, reflective accounts of challenges faced and lessons learned, which future researchers might also learn from.



The ERIC Digital Library: Finding Resources About Preschool

For most children in the United States, formal education begins before kindergarten. In 2011, 64% of 3- to 5-year-olds attended a preschool program, and there is a growing body of research on the impact of these programs on the development of young children.

The ERIC digital library has more than 30,000 records about preschool and preschool children, including 4,300 resources with free full text. To find preschool resources, you can use the ERIC search feature by entering keywords directly into the search box.

The UCF Library now has access to the following resources:

British Periodicals - This resource facilitates everything from undergraduate research essays, in both introductory survey courses and senior seminars, to graduate-level theses and dissertations, as well as research for scholarly articles and books. Having this much material available online through UCF Libraries will be an incredible boon to our student researchers who lack ready access to the hard copies themselves.

National Geographic - The National Geographic Archive contains every issue of the magazine from 1888 through 1994. The quality of the images is outstanding and the content can be used by UCF students and researchers in nearly every discipline.

Sage Knowledge - The SAGE guides include an expansive range of SAGE eBook and eReference content, including scholarly monographs, reference works, handbooks, series, and more.

Eighteenth Century Collections Online - ECCO is a primary source collection containing over 180,000 books, pamphlets, and treatises, covers not only history but also the social sciences, philosophy and religion, and will benefit both students and faculty in such areas as military, cultural, social, economic, diplomatic, and scientific history.
