Rachel is Head of the UCF Downtown Campus Library. She has worked as a librarian at UCF for many years in several different departments, most recently as Head of Teaching & Engagement. Her career has focused on library instruction and information literacy, outreach and engagement, and serving online and distance students.
Rachel holds a Master of Arts in Library Science from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Florida. At the John C. Hitt Library, she previously served as Reference Librarian, Subject Librarian, Distance Learning Librarian, and Instruction Coordinator. Before joining the UCF Libraries in 2002, Rachel was Distance Learning Librarian with the Florida Distance Learning Reference & Referral Center, housed at the University of South Florida.
