How to Print

Notes about UCF Libraries Printing:

  • $1.00 Weekly Print Funds from UCF Student Government can now be used for Library Printing!
  • Print jobs are associated with your NID account & UCF Card account.
  • Print jobs for guests are associated with the 16 digit Copy Card number entered by user upon sending print job.

Printing for UCF Students / Faculty / Staff:

  1. Add Knight Cash to your UCF Card (via Knight Cash Loader machines or UCF Card Web site)
  2. Log on to any UCF Library computer with your NID / NID Password.
  3. Send your print jobs to the appropriate printer:
    • LIB B&W Public” for Black & White/Grayscale
    • LIB Color Public ” for Color
  4. A notification bubble will appear in the tray letting you know that your job has been sent to a print release station.
    You can send multiple documents to the printer before going to the Print Station to retrieve them.
  5. Locate a Print Release Station to pay for and release your job
    • All Release Stations are MFP devices that will print both B&W and Color print jobs.
  6. Swipe your UCF Card / Copy Card through the reader on the right-side of the MFP device OR enter your NID / NID Password.
  7. Tap the “Print Release
    • Tap a check next to the print job you wish to release
    • Tap the “Print” button to released checked jobs.
  8. Retrieve your document from the printer.

Printing for Guests:

  1. Purchase a Copy Card ($1)
  2. Add Knight Cash to your Copy Card (via Knight Cash Loader machines or UCF Card Web site)
  3. Log on to any UCF Library computer with the guest username and daily guest password (available at LibTech or any library service desk).
  4. Enter the 16 digit number from the front of your Copy Card into the pop-up box that appears upon login
    • Select how long you wish to remember this copy card number
  5. Send your print jobs to using the appropriate printer:
    • LIB B&W” for Black & White/Grayscale
    • LIB Color” for Color
  6. A notification bubble will appear in the tray letting you know that your job has been sent to a print release station.

Wireless Printing

The John C. Hitt, Curriculum Materials Center (CMC), Downtown Campus, and Rosen libraries all support printing from your own device. The Web Print service allows you to upload the file(s) you wish to be printed, processed, and available at the desired print release station. Follow the directions below.

  1. Go to print.ucf.edu
  2. Log on using the NID & NID Password.
  3. Select the “Web Print” tab from the menu on the left.
  4. Click the “Submit a Job” link over on the right side.
  5. Select the corresponding printer (specify black & white or color) for the location you wish to print at.
    • Black & White: $0.08 per side
    • Color: $0.30 per side
  6. Enter the number of copies and continue to “Upload Documents”.
  7. Click the “Upload from computer” button to browse for files or drag and drop files to be printed onto the box labeled “Drag files here”.
  8. Click the “Upload & Complete” button.
  9. Document is now in the queue ready to be released at the print release station selected in step five.
