UCF Libraries, in partnership with the College of Graduate Studies Pathways to Success, is offering a full slate of graduate workshops during the spring 2019 semester including Library Research & Literature Review Strategies, Planning Poster Sessions, EndNote & RefWorks: Citing Made Easy, Useful Apps All Grad Students Should Love & Use, Optimizing Your Online Presence, Where to Publish & Author Rights, and Presentation Skills. Online sessions have been added to several of the workshops.

Registration for these workshops is required and is done through myUCF (Student Center → Graduate Students → Pathways to Success)

Researching Patent & Trademark Information

Join the UCF Library as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of becoming a Patent and Trademark depository library!  This one-day FREE seminar, “Researching Patent and Trademark Information”, features a range of informational sessions for inventors, entrepreneurs, educators, students and legal professionals.  Topics include:

  • An overview of Intellectual Property
  • How to conduct a patent search
  • How to conduct a trademark search
  • How to avoid invention promotion scams
  • A local resource panel of business and innovation experts.

Graduate Research Essentials Online Workshop

Join us online for a Graduate Research Essentials Workshop on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 3:00-4:30 p.m.

Graduate Research Essentials is a 90-minute online workshop that highlights discipline-specific resources and library research strategies that can help you conduct literature searches for research projects, literature reviews, and coursework.

This session is designed for graduate students enrolled in Communication, Criminal Justice, and Public Administration programs. Attendees will learn about citation tracking and database search options, how to create alerts to stay up to date on publications, and tips for customizing Google Scholar.
