Biography

Chelsea Dinsmore serves as the Associate Dean of Resources and Discovery with the University of Central Florida Libraries, providing strategic leadership and guiding policy for Acquisitions, Metadata Creation, Document Delivery and Resource Sharing as well as Special Collections and University Archives.  Before joining the UCF Libraries, Chelsea held a variety of faculty librarian positions with the University of Florida Libraries, starting in a Librarian position in Government Documents, moving to lead the Digital Services and Metadata department, and finally chairing the Resource Description Services division. She achieved tenure and was promoted to University Librarian while at the University of Florida.

Chelsea holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Texas @ Austin, an MA in History from the University of Florida, and a BA in History from New College / University of South Florida..
