Business Administration II - 2003
The proposal of a new Business Administration building came in the late 1990’s with the growth of UCF. Twenty percent of the nearly 32,000 enrolled UCF students were in the College of Business Administration, thus the need became pressing to build another business building to prepare the University for its’ continued growth. Within a decade there was a 75% increase of enrollment – from just fewer than 7,000 to over 9,000. The need for a second building had been more than justified with that increased enrollment of students.
Completed in 2003 BA2 is home to several multimedia classrooms and a state-of-the-art career center. Total cost was 10 million with 60,000 square feet. Housed within Business Administration 2 is the DeVos Sports Business Management program which boasts being named one of the top five programs in America by the Wall Street Journal, Sports Business Journal and ESPN The Magazine, according to their website. The departments of Economics and Marketing also call Business Administration 2 their home. Notably, both the Southeast Regional and National Offices of National Consortium for Academic Affairs & Sports reside in the Business Administration 2 building.
