UCF/BCC Lifelong Learning Center - 1983

The Clark Maxwell, Jr. Lifelong Learning Center is a cooperative effort with the Brevard Community College and the University of Central Florida. Named after the Florida State Senator Clark Maxwell, Jr. this facility was opened on September 1, 1983. The UCF/BCC facility took $5.8 million to construct and is known as the first joint-use facility for two colleges in the state of Florida. The goal of this unique facility is to provide area residents with an opportunity to realize maximum personal potential and attain career goals while remaining in Brevard County. The center housed programs for both community college and the university allowing students to complete a BA and possibly work toward a graduate degree without leaving the area.

A BCC Computer lab, Theater 360, Child Care Center and many BCC Community Education service offices along with UCF administration offices and classrooms are home to this facility. In addition, UCF/BCC offers classes in general business administration, elementary education, engineering technology, public administration, and nursing.
