Hospitality Management) Provides a unique collection of materials in support of the
Hospitality Management program at the Rosen College campus.
Part of the mission of Special Collections & University Archives (SCUA) is to serve as an instructional resource for
University Faculty. Special Collections & University Archives staff are happy to work with instructors to integrate
SCUA material into their curricula and encourages class visits. Instructional
sessions can be tailored to both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Classes that have used SCUA include: History & Historians, Marxist Political
Theory, Methods of Bibliography and Research, Linguistics and Literature, Oral History,
Modern Art of Mexico, Creole Identity, Caribbean Cultures, Travel and Tourism, Product Development in Theme
Parks & Attractions, Type & Design and Artist Books. Instructional sessions can focus on
a specific collection or topic, or cover broad research methodology such as primary source
and archives research.
How to Schedule a Visit
The SCUA Reading Room can accommodate up to 50 students lecture style seating
and 20-25 students round table seating. Arrangements can be made for other class sizes.
We ask that all class visits be scheduled at least two weeks in advance, a month is preferred.
To assist students with class projects and specialized research, we are happy to hold individual
