Checking out books

UCF students and employees may check out library materials at the Valencia College West Campus provided they have a reciprocal borrower ID card issued from the Valencia College campus. The reciprocal borrower ID card is issued provided the individual has a valid UCF ID card, and one other source of identification that indicates their current address (e.g., Florida driver’s license).

Borrowing Materials

UCF students and employees may check out library materials at the Valencia College West Campus provided they have a reciprocal borrower ID card issued from the Valencia College campus. The reciprocal borrower ID card is issued provided the individual has a valid UCF ID card, and one other source of identification that indicates their current address (e.g., Florida driver’s license). Up to 10 items may be checked out for three weeks. Depending on the item type, overdue fines vary; please ask the circulation staff to ensure you understand the overdue fines. For lost items, students and faculty will be billed for the cost of replacement plus a processing fee.

Computer Access

Students can access computers on both the first and second floor. If you have trouble logging in, please ask the librarian at the second floor reference desk.

Printing/Copying/Scanning

Printing/copying services are available in the library. A self-service scanner is available near the printer on the second floor.

Reserve Materials

Items on reserve can be requested at the Circulation Desk on the first floor. Request an item by course name, number, or professor. The loan period for reserve material varies. Reserve fines range depending on the material. Faculty may use the Course Reserve form to place an item on reserve.

Study Rooms

One group study room is available on a walk-in basis on the first floor.
