Resource Sharing & Document Delivery (Formerly Interlibrary Loan) processes requests for books, articles, musical scores, DVD’s, and other materials from other libraries throughout the country.
We have migrated away from ILLiad and have moved to a centralized requesting system.
You will now find a blank ILL request form button at the top of the search box in the library catalog. You will also find an ILL button embedded in the Everything Search.
To view your outstanding requests, renew books, view your articles, see due dates, click on the Sign in Button that is located at the top right of the search box in the library catalog. Login to your account. Items may or may not be eligible for renewal. Items that cannot be renewed appear in Red.
For inquiries, please contact Resource Sharing & Document Delivery at 407.823.2383 or ILLBor@ucf.edu
Textbooks
Before submitting a request for a textbook, please check to see if your textbook is available through the eTextbook Portal.
Up-to-date exam books can be found at https://tcpr.petersons.com/. Look at the database before submitting a request to borrow the book from another library.
Requesting books from other institutions takes on average 7-10 days to arrive. Articles and book chapters usually take 1-4 days to arrive.
Library Express Delivery (LED) Registration
LED is a delivery service of physical materials for UCF Faculty and Staff on the main campus and Distance Learners.
Please give us until the next business day to process your registration before placing a LED request. Choose the Distance Learner/Office Delivery option as your pick up location each time you place a request.
LED for Faculty and Staff
Books that are owned by UCF or requested from another institution through interlibrary loan will be delivered to your designated department office pickup location. Deliveries are made during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, and items are delivered to the LED mail tub located in your department office within the next business day.
The LED mail tub is for delivery only, not returns. Books may be returned to the circulation desk or one of the library book return receptacles located at the new entrance of the John C. Hitt Library, and in the parking lot between Millican Hall and Phillips Hall.
LED for Distance Learners
Books that are owned by UCF or requested from another institution through interlibrary loan will be mailed to the address you provided when you registered for LED. We are not able to ship books from other libraries to distance learners residing outside of Florida. See Returning Items for information on sending materials back to UCF.
Any articles or book chapters requested from UCF or through interlibrary loan will be delivered as an electronic PDF.
