Hours Changing for “Ask A Librarian” Chat Service  

Beginning this Friday, April 18, 2025, the operating hours for the virtual Ask A Librarian (AAL) chat service will change due to the loss of federal grant funding which supported evening and weekend service.

Moving forward, virtual assistance will be available Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. — times when our UCF librarians are available to provide expert help directly.

Although the after-hours coverage will not be available, there are still several ways to connect with us if you need help: 
 

  • Book an in-person consultation for personalized support 
  • Send an email or text message and receive a response within 2 business days 
  • Explore our research guides
