UCF Libraries Partners with Skilltype to Enhance Professional Development

The UCF Libraries have a new partnership with Skilltype, the leading talent management platform for libraries. This collaboration is part of a broader initiative from the Libraries that will use Skilltype’s innovative resources for professional development.

With Skilltype’s platform, UCF Libraries will be better equipped to support the growth of its faculty and staff. By offering data-driven insights, Skilltype will allow the Libraries to identify and nurture the skills and expertise of its team members, aligning with the mission to stay ahead in an ever-evolving academic landscape.

Video Spotlight: Using Search Limiters

Search Limiters are the filters of the library database world. Located on the left-hand side of the screen, the various selections allow you to specify your search and speed up the process of finding an adequate research article.

Different databases have different filters based on the subject matter, though there are some common ones like “Scholarly (Peer-Reviewed) Articles” and “Publication Date.”

Academic Engagement Suite

The third floor of the John C. Hitt Library is probably the most relaxing place to be — whether you are reading a book, studying, chatting with friends, or seeking academic advice, the floor has everything you need.
