Some of the Universal Orlando Foundation Library's many special features and services are outlined below. If you have any questions, please Ask a Rosen Librarian.
The staff at the Universal Orlando Foundation Library strives to serve the needs of every patron. An accessible service counter is located just inside the front doors, and one computer workstation features assistive technology including Jaws and MAGic software, a large-print MAGic keyboard, and a large display (24 inch) monitor. Please let us know if you need additional assistance.
A Knight Cash machine is located near the circulation desk. Use the Knight Cash machine to put money on your UCF ID card, which may then be used to purchase goods and services at a variety of places on campus, including in library photocopiers and printers.
Please see our Circulation Policies page.
The Library features 36 computers with Internet access, Microsoft Office Suite, and a variety of other programs. One workstation is equipped with assistive technology such as Jaws and ZoomText. Please use our computers appropriately: see our Library Policies page for information on our Computer Use policy.
Four DVD/VHR stations are available for in-library use. Each station includes a 15-inch color television monitor and a combination DVD/VCR player. Headphones to use with the stations are available for checkout at the circulation desk.
A courier delivers materials to/from the main campus library via Interlibrary Loan. Turnaround time for this free service is usually 2-5 business days. In addition, Interlibrary Loan service is also available for materials not available in any UCF Library. For more information, see the Interlibrary Loan Research Guide.
Need a place to store your stuff for a few hours? Large lockers are available for weekly checkout. Locker keys may be checked out at the circulation desk.
UCF students, staff, and faculty may access the Library's electronic resources from any internet connection by entering their PID and PID password. For more information, see our Off Campus Access page.
Please see our Photocopy & Printing Services page.
We strive to maintain a comfortable environment for all of our patrons. Please see our Library Policies page for more information.
Rosen Librarians are always happy to provide assistance locating materials, performing research, utilizing UCF's vast array of electronic resources, or with any other kind of library need you may have.
OneSearch is a great place to start looking for books, articles, DVDs, and more. If you are looking for just books and DVDs, you may want to use the UCF Library Catalog. For more in-depth research and articles, try the Hospitality Databases subject page. For more assistance, see our Research Help page or Ask a Rosen Librarian.
The Rosen Library offers three group study rooms. While individuals may use the rooms on occasion, groups will be given priority over individuals. All Library policies (e.g., no meals, beverages in sealed containers, cell phones set on vibrate, etc.) apply to study rooms as well.
The study rooms are generally available on a first-come, first-served basis, but available rooms may be reserved 24 hours in advance. Those wishing to use the rooms for extended periods of time are also advised to make a reservation. Study rooms can be reserved for a maximum of four hours, once per day. To check on room availability and to make a reservation, stop by the circulation desk or call 407-903-8100.
