Thanksgiving Hours

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Rosen Library will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26th, and will be closed Thursday, November 27th through Sunday, November 30th. Regular operating hours will resume on Monday, December 1st. Enjoy your holiday!

One of the newest and most interesting segments of the tourism industry involves locations related to death, disaster, and atrocities. This "Dark Tourism" is macabre but popular, and it has a lot of critics and researchers buzzing.

Laptops for Checkout!

We now have Dell Venue 11 Pro tablets!

The Venue offers apps and a touchscreen interface, yet also runs Windows, includes Office software, and has a full size keyboard and USB port. In short, it combines the size and portability of a tablet with all the functionality of a laptop!

Students may use their UCF ID card and NID to check one out at the Rosen Library front desk.

Writing Center Hours

The University Writing Center (UWC) offers FREE writing consultations at the Rosen Campus!

Get advice on writing your papers, including tips on developing ideas, structuring your papers, using proper grammar, and much more. The UWC will even assist with non-school writing, such as resumes, job applications, and grad school application essays. The UWC will meet with individuals or groups.

Visit http://uwc.cah.ucf.edu (and click on the TutorTrac logo) or call the UWC at 407-823-2197 to set up an appointment.

UWC Rosen Fall Schedule:

  • Tuesdays: 11am-3p
  • Wednesdays: 11am-3pm

Walk-ins without appointments will also be helped, if availability permits. If these hours don't fit your schedule, the UWC also offers remote consultations using phone, chat, or Adobe Connect.

Accounting Tutoring

Need help with your accounting & finance courses this semester? Come to the Accounting/Finance Tutoring Lab in the library! The lab is brought to you by the Accounting and Finance faculty from the department of Hospitality Services, and will operate through exams. You can find the tutoring lab in the large meeting room (120F) in the library.

Please note that the Library does not run the Accounting/Tutoring Lab. We are simply providing the information as a courtesy.

Shuttle Schedule

Need a ride to main campus? Take the shuttle provided by UCF Parking and Transportation Services. The shuttle makes several round trips each day, Monday through Friday, from the Rosen College parking lot to the main campus near the Student Union and Classroom Building I.

Please note: The Rosen shuttle currently does not run on weekends or holidays. The shuttle runs on a modified schedule during final exams.
