Individual departments within the library hire Federal Work Study and regular undergraduate student assistants continuously as needed throughout the year for flexible work schedules during day and evening hours, seven days a week. Library work may include assisting people at a service desk, using computers to find book and journal information, shelving and sorting books, filing, photocopying, answering the phone, and other library duties as assigned.
The library employs around 200 people and houses over a dozen individual departments, consequently student hiring decisions are made by individual department supervisors, not Library Administration. Please contact Library Administration only for questions concerning the application process. For information about which departments are hiring contact or visit the department(s) individually.

Students looking for part-time employment in the library must complete the online Student Assistant Application to be considered for employment. When completing the application online, please don’t forget to include your work availability and contact information. Soon after the application has been submitted, the student will receive a follow-up e-mail containing further instructions and information about library employment. Generally, no longer than 2 weeks. These students may encounter paperwork delays: International Students, Federal Work Study, and students living with or related to anyone who works at UCF.
