Student Employment

If you are interested in joining our team, please take a minute to read the following answers to some of our FAQ’s from potential student employees.  We also invite students to refer to our job flyer for answers to FAQs and further information on student employment.

Are We Hiring?????

Individual departments within the library hire Federal Work Study and regular undergraduate student assistants continuously as needed throughout the year for flexible work schedules during day and evening hours, seven days a week.  Library work may include assisting people at a service desk, using computers to find book and journal information, shelving and sorting books, filing, photocopying, answering the phone, and other library duties as assigned.

The library employs around 200 people and houses over a dozen individual departments, consequently student hiring decisions are made by individual department supervisors, not Library Administration. Please contact Library Administration only  for questions concerning the application process.  For information about which departments are hiring contact or visit the department(s) individually.
