Booking Spaces
To book the Hitt Maker Podcast Studio or Production Studio, a short Webcourse is required. This course covers DEC policies and is tested by a quiz. A score of 90% or higher is required to pass. Once the webcourse and the associated quiz are completed, the booking links will become available. Further instructions are available on the Webcourse page.
Immersion Studio
The Immersion studio features a 270-degree three-wall immersive projection with surround sound, powered by Igloo Vision. The studio offers multiple seating configurations and is equipped with a camera for online presentations.
Use of the Immersion Studio requires a consolation with DEC staff.
Hitt Maker Podcast Studio
The podcast suite consists of a podcast studio, control room, and two sound booths. The podcast studio accommodates up to four users, with an additional interview area that seats two.
The studio utilizes a setup that includes three Sony DSLR video cameras and four Shure studio-grade microphones to provide both audio and visual recording. The sound booths are equipped with a 4K webcam and two Shure microphones to provide both video and audio capabilities.
The DEC highly recommends you bring a flash drive or have sufficient space on your computer or cloud storage to save your work. Podcast studio sessions with video can run from 60GB to 100GB, while audio-only podcasts can run from 2GB to 10GB. The DEC does not loan out equipment or storage media and deletes data from storage after each session.
Production Studio
The Production studio includes high-res DSLR cameras, six colored backdrops, adjustable lighting equipment, flexible seating for individual or group headshots (up to eight users) a photogrammetry station, and a projection mapping station.
High Performance Workstations
The main computer floor is open for walk-in use with a valid UCF or government issued ID. Users can utilize our computers for design, rendering, 3D modeling, VR creation, data analysis, and more.
