The Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery Services Department of the University of Central Florida is committed to providing equal access to scholarly research materials. Starting on March 4, 2005, a pilot program is being conducted in collaboration with the Students Disabilities Services. This pilot program offers document delivery service for members of the UCF community whose disabilities may require physical assistance including but not limited to mobility impairments or are visually impaired.
Any current faculty, student or staff member who has a UCF identification card and also has a disability that makes retrieving and photocopying materials difficult or impossible is eligible for service. In order to qualify, a student must be enrolled with the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities.
Users must abide by all stipulations set forth by the Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery
Services Department, including the timely return of all materials and the payment of any fines.
Failure to comply with the lending codes will result in a cut-off of all Interlibrary Loan and
Document Delivery services.
This service is for users with mobility impairments or visually impaired ONLY. Use of this service
by registered users for the benefit of those either not registered or ineligible for the service
will result in an immediate suspension of all Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery services.
At the request of a registered user, the Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services Department will make copies of journal articles or retrieve circulating items from any UCF library (excluding reserve). Normal turnaround time for all orders is one to three working days. If an item is not found in the library, we will submit the request via Interlibrary Loan.
Books will be sent directly to the patron's address that was given to the Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery Department. Articles will be sent via Desktop Delivery using Adobe Acrobat unless the patron contacts the the Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services Department (407-823-2383) for printed copies.
