Desktop Delivery
for Faculty
The Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services Department of the University
of Central Florida is participating in a pilot project in which committed to providing equal
access to scholarly research materials, a program of the Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery
Services Department, offers a document delivery service exclusively for members of the UCF community
who have disabilities that present barriers to library use.
Eligibility
Any current faculty member who has a
UCF identification card.
No request will be processed until the user is registered with the Interlibrary
Loan and Document Delivery program, ILLiad.
Responsibilities
Users must abide by all stipulations set forth
by the Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services Department, including the timely return
of all materials and the payment of any fines. Failure to comply with the lending codes will
result in a cut-off of all Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery services.
This service is for UCF patrons that have Faculty status ONLY. Use of this service by registered
users for the benefit of those either not registered or ineligible for the service will result
in an immediate suspension of all Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery services.
Description of Service
At the request of a registered user, the Interlibrary
Loan and Document Delivery Services Department will make copies of journal articles or retrieve
circulating items from any UCF library (excluding reserve). Normal turnaround time for all orders
is one to three working days. If an item is not found in the library, we will submit the request
via Interlibrary Loan.
Books will be held at the hold shelf at the designated UCF campus, Circulation
Department for two weeks. Articles will be sent via Desktop Delivery using Adobe Acrobat
unless you the Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services Department (407-823-2383).
