Using WebLUIS to Find Materials in the Curriculum Materials Center

The WebLUIS database, the UCF Library’s catalog of holdings, can be searched a number of ways, including by author, by title, by keyword and by subject heading.  The following tips will aid you in searching for materials in the Curriculum Materials Center. Other helpful pamphlets related to searching WebLUIS are also available.

On the main WebLUIS screen, click on UCF in the "WebLUIS Search System" area.  To search for materials only in the CMC, click on "advanced search".  Under "search limits" change the location to "Curriculum Materials".

You can also search by individual CMC collection if want a specific type of material.  To search using a CMC location code, click on "command" at the top of the screen.  Then type your search manually, like we do when we use the telnet version of LUIS.  For example, if you want picture books about Mexico, type: s=mexico and lsl=cmcpict.
