Services for Faculty

The UCF Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Department is committed to supporting the research of UCF faculty members. In addition to interlibrary loan services, we offer a faculty document delivery service which provides scanned copies of UCF-owned journals and books held at the Circulation Desk for quick pickup. Document Delivery requests may be submitted through the ILLiad interlibrary loan system and are automatically requested via interlibrary loan if there is no copy available at the UCF Main Library. If you have a question about a specific request, or need clarification about the following services, please contact our office.

Faculty Document Delivery Interlibrary Loan
Description UCF-owned articles and book chapters are scanned for electronic delivery through the ILLiad system. UCF-owned books are checked out to your library account and placed at the Circulation Desk for pickup. Books and articles are located and delivered from U.S. and some international libraries.
Delivery Time 24 to 48 hours
(Items not located at UCF Main Campus are automatically requested via interlibrary loan.)
Articles: 5 to 10 days
Books: 7 to 14 days
Book Loan Period Standard checkout for UCF faculty. Typically 2 to 3 weeks (set by lending library)
Renewals UCF-owned books requested through Document Delivery may be renewed by logging into your library account. One, at the discretion of the lending library (typically 2 weeks). Choose the “Request Renewal” tab within ILLiad.


Books requested via interlibrary loan may not be placed on reserve. For more information regarding course reserves, please contact the Reserves Department (407-823-5209).
