Be there at the ribbon-cutting: Monday 8/23, 10 a.m.

Posted on: Aug 18, 2010 @ 11:59:27 am

Be a part of UCF history.....please join the UCF community at the opening of the main library Knowledge Commons!

On Monday, August 23, 2010, at 10 a.m., the ribbon will be cut, and the long-awaited Knowledge Commons will open.

100 flash drives will be given to the first 100 students who enter the Knowledge Commons after the opening.

Funded in part by the Student Technology Fee and the UCF Foundation's annual campaign, the completed Knowledge Commons is the result of comments, ideas, suggestions and feedback from UCF students and faculty, combined with the excellent work of the library's partners in the creation and implementation of the plans for the Commons.

The Knowledge Commons is designed to support student use of technology in research, study, and group collaboration in a comfortable, attractive environment. It is the first major redesign of a large part of UCF's iconic main library building since the addition and renovation of the building in 1984.

Celebrate and enjoy the new Knowledge Commons! Go Knights!
