Celebrate Diversity Week with the University Library

Updated on: Nov 23, 2004 @ 1:51:00 pm

The University Library invites you to join us in celebrating this years' activities for the campus wide Diversity Week, "Living the Vision." At the Library entrance, patrons will be greeted by decorative collages and informational displays, including a translation prompt board where all are welcome to jot down phrases in their native or learned languages. A "movie lounge" in the browsing section of the main floor of the library will feature two different foreign and diversity-related films each morning and afternoon. Posters created by library staff members will be on exhibit - and in keeping with the spirit of voting season - patrons are encouraged to cast their votes for the most outstanding poster. Library Special Collections is hosting a Creole identity lecture on Monday, October 11, from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. in Library Room 223. Dr. Marie Leticee, UCF professor in the Foreign Languages Department, will present, "Looking Within: In Search of Creoleness." Everyone is welcome. Please stop by and enjoy the movies, displays, and lecture, all at the UCF Library!
