Government Spending
Each of the following databases includes the ability to display data by
the Congressional District where the contract or grant was awarded.
NOTE: The legislator listed for a specific Congressional District was
not necessarily in Congress when the money was appropriated or spent.
a free, searchable database of Federal government spending on contracts and grants
with annual data beginning in fiscal year 2000.
"The Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006
(Transparency Act) requires a single searchable website, accessible
by the public for free that includes for each Federal award:
- The
name of the entity receiving the award;
- The amount of the award;
- Information on the award including transaction type, funding
agency, etc;
- The location of the entity receiving the award;
- A
unique identifier of the entity receiving the award."

Miscellaneous Resources
identifies many federal publications which have been converted to electronic format,
with lists by SuDoc and by title.
Social Security Bulletin
Social Security Bulletin is known for its comprehensive coverage of
Social Security's issues. Articles focus on the OASDI and SSI
programs, the income of the aged, private pension coverage, the
poverty status of various groups (such as women and children), and
other timely subjects.
Indexing:
LexisNexis Statistical provides descriptive abstracts for many articles as far back as 1972.
