Using the Print Stations

Most of public computers in the main library print to Print Stations on the second and third floors.

Using the Print Stations - UCF Libraries

How to print:

  1. From the computer, select document(s) to print as usual. In most programs, click the printer icon Picture of the Print button or select Print on the File menu. For Microsoft products click the Microsoft Office Button Microsoft Office Button image, and then click Print.
See Printing Tips for more information on printing from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDFs.
To select the color printer, be sure to click <File>, <Print>, then choose the color printer before sending the print job.
  2. Enter a name for the print job (initials work fine in most cases) and click <OK>.
You can send multiple documents to the printer before going to the Print Station to retrieve them.
  3. Go to any Print Station.
  4. Slide your UCF ID or Copy Card through the reader on the right side of the computer monitor.
  5. Your password is the last four digits of your PID.
  6. Select your print job (on the computer monitor by the printer) and click <Print> or <Delete> (if you no longer want the print).
  7. Repeat to print additional papers.
  8. The exact cost of the print job, the number of pages in the document, and the balance on the copy card will display.
  9. Click <Quit> to end your print session.

Things to know:

  • Printers only use UCF IDs and Copy Cards.
