Getting a UCF ID Card
When you complete an Academic Advising appointment and attend a live Orientation, you will have your picture taken prior to Orientation and after confirmation that you have registered for a UCF class, you will be given your student ID.
For those students completing a virtual Orientation, plan to have your picture taken when you come for your Academic Advising appointment. After we confirm you have registered for a UCF class, you may pick up your student I.D. at the UCF Valencia Osceola campus.

Checking out books
To check out materials from the Valencia Osceola library, you must obtain a reciprocal borrower ID card. Students can do this by presenting their UCF ID card and one other source of identification that indicates their current address (e.g., Florida driver’s license).at the library circulation desk.

The Osceola Campus Library currently carries a SARA (text to speech machine), which is OSD-approved hardware. All of the computers in the Osceola Campus Library are equipped with the following OSD software:
- Dragon Naturally Speaking
- Kurzwell 3000
- Dolphin Easy Reader
The library has two collections of Audiovisual Materials. One collection checks-out for a three week period and you can locate the materials in the main collection. The other collection has Reserve DVDs. These can be requested at the Circulation Desk, and check-out for various time periods. Please note that these materials must be used within the library.
UCF students and faculty may check-out library materials at the Regional Campus provided they have a reciprocal borrower ID card issued from the Valencia College campus. The reciprocal borrower ID card is issued provided the individual has a valid UCF ID card, and one other source of identification that indicates their current address (e.g., Florida driver’s license). A limit of 25 items may be checked out for three weeks (four weeks for faculty). Successive renewals are granted twice. Fines for overdue materials are 25 cents per day per item. For lost items, students and faculty will be billed for the cost of replacement plus a $5.00 processing fee.
In support of the UCF programs located at the Valencia Osceola campus, UCF works in conjunction with Valencia Osceola to maintain a collection with over 30,000 print materials that touches each area of the programs offered. Students also have access to the main UCF library’s collection of over 2 million volumes and more than 29,000 print and electronic periodical subscriptions.
Library computers are intended for use by currently enrolled Valencia College or UCF Valencia Osceola Campus students, staff and faculty. Computers are for academic purposes only. Guest log-ins will not be provided to support social purposes. Please note: All Internet and network traffic is subject to logging / monitoring. Do not give your log in credentials to anyone else to use. Always log out when you have finished working.
Printing/copying services are available in the library using a “rechargeable” print card purchased for $1.00 in the library. Computer print-outs and photocopies cost 10 cents each for black and white and 50 cents each for color (where available). A self-service scanner is available near the circulation desk. Limited free printing (20 pages per day) is provided for UCF students in room 4-251 during UCF Valencia Osceola office hours.
Items on reserve can be requested at the Circulation Desk. You can request an item by course name, number, or professor. The loan period for reserve material varies. Reserve fines are $1.20 per hour, so make sure to return items promptly.
The Osceola Campus Library has seven group study rooms that can be reserved up to one week in advance. Each room is equipped with a dry erase board and flat screen television for laptop or iPad display, and accommodates a maximum of six students. Laptops and iPads are available for checkout if needed. Rooms are available for a two hour block, with an additional two hours possible if no other reservations are made for your room. See the library’s circulation desk to reserve a room – a student ID is required.
The Osceola Campus Library has a collection of iPads and laptops available for checkout. They are for in-library use only, and checkout for a period of four hours.
