Monographs

The staff of the Monographs Unit is responsible for cataloging of printed monographs, UCF electronic theses and dissertations (ETD) and Special Collections materials. The staff consists of four Sr. LTAs, two catalogers (one part time) and one student assistant. The Unit provides copy, complex and original cataloging for materials in the John C. Hitt Library, CMC and all Branch and Regional campuses (except College of Medicine).  Members of the Unit also assign call numbers, perform subject analysis and make changes to Aleph shared bib records. The staff also provide bibliographic database maintenance, including local holdings record update, and physical preparation of materials for the library shelves. Original cataloging records are contributed to OCLC (WorldCat).
