 Processing History

Paper materials were removed from plastic sleeves and placed in pH neutral folders. The plaque was wrapped in pH neutral paper. Everything was housed in a pH neutral box.

 Biographical/Historical Note

Patrick Cucci was born in Illinois. He moved to Florida at an early age and lettered at Southeast High School in Bradenton in baseball, football, and wrestling. Cucci was all-county and all-conference linebacker in football, and state champion in wrestling his senior year. He graduated from Appalachian State University as a physical education major. While attending the university he was on their wrestling team and was the southern conference champion at 150 pounds in 1980. When he graduated he came to Florida to coach the UCF wrestling team.

 Collection Scope and Content

This collection is arranged in two series by type of document.

Series I: Chronological Files, 1983-1986 contains photographs, news clippings, programs and correspondence, documenting the achievements of the UCF wrestling team.

Series II: Memorabilia, 1984-1985 contains a wrestling knights polo shirt and a plaque with a photograph of the 1984-1985 wrestling team.
