		<head>Biographical/Historical Note</head> 
		<p>Bob Kealing is a three-time Emmy Award winning reporter for WESH 2
		  News in Orlando, Florida. He is the author the book 
		<title render="italic">Kerouac in Florida: Where the Road Ends</title>
		and co-founder of the Jack Kerouac Writers in Residence Project of Orlando. His
		nonprofit charity raised funds to buy and renovate Kerouac's historic Orlando
		home. It is now a writers retreat.</p>

			 <p>Jack Kerouac, born on March 12, 1922, was an American novelist,
				poet, and artist from Lowell, Massachusetts. He is best known as the leader of
				the Beat Generation in the 1950s. His most famous books include 
			 <title render="italic">On the Road</title>, 
			 <title render="italic">The Dharma Bums</title>, 
			 <title render="italic">Big Sur</title>, and 
			 <title render="italic">Visions of Cody</title>. 
			 <title render="italic">Dharma Bums</title> was written in 1957 while
			 Kerouac was living in Orlando. Kerouac died on October 21, 1969 in St.
			 Petersburg, Florida at the age of 47.</p>

			 <p>This series holds materials related to Bob Kealing's
				research and writing of his book 
			 <title render="italic">Kerouac in Florida: Where the Road
				Ends</title>. The series contains articles written by Kealing, correspondence,
			 research notes, copies of legal documents, research documents, and book drafts.
			 "Research documents" includes copies of articles, web sites, interviews, and/or
			 any related texts. A book entitled
