		<head>Collection Scope and Content</head>
<p>This small collection consists of thirteen audio cassette tapes of
several programs aired between 1997 and 1999. They cover issues and subjects
aimed at older people living in Florida. Most programs had a special guest who
discussed a particular topic in depth with Reagan Smith and E. Bentley
		  Lipscomb.
<persname>Bob Wright</persname>, the host of "Senior Minutes" discussed
his broadcasts. Angie Ferry and Dottie Silma spoke about their volunteer work
		  with Americorp in Brevard.
<persname>Tim Healy</persname> from the FBI explained his work bringing
		  telemarketing fraudsters to justice.
		  <persname>Robert F. Milligan</persname>, Comptroller of Florida,
advised seniors how his department could help them with financial issues.
		  <persname>Elizabeth Renn</persname>, a former legislator, was
interviewed on the subject of training the medical profession to help seniors.
		  <persname>Jerry</persname> and
<persname>Lisa Klime</persname> explained the concept behind their
		  business, the
		  <corpname>Senior Store</corpname>. Dr.
<persname>Joan Betts</persname> spoke about the lessons that the
elderly could pass on to their grandchildren.
<persname>Jim Chion</persname> of Tallahassee Radio talked about swing
		  music. The Rev.
		  <persname>Arthur Rushlow</persname> discussed the church's role in
		  ageing issues. Dr.
<persname>John Bland</persname> offered his opinion of how people could
live an active life until one hundred and twenty years old. Dr.
<persname>Neil Charness</persname> of Florida State University spoke
about the effect of inadequate lighting on people over the age of forty, and
<persname>Abe Asofsky</persname>, City Commissioner of Coconut Creek,
was interviewed as an example of an extraordinary senior. A separate segment
hosted by Mike Cutler often discussed books of particular relevance to seniors
with the authors. One program had no special guest but was devoted specifically
		  to information about osteoporosis. </p>
