FTU Years

After her husband was named the first president of Florida Technological University, Frances got to work promoting and networking Dr. Millican's efforts to build a successful university.  Many of Mrs. Millican's activities included hosting and/or attending social events where she encountered numerous local and national leaders.  Mrs. Millican was also a founding member of the UCF Women's Club and the UCF Town and Gown Council, both active in providing scholarships to deserving students.

To friends, family and the university community, it was always apparent just how much Charles and Frances adored each other.
