CMC (Curriculum
Materials Center) Provides a unique collection of P-12 curriculum materials in
the Education Building on the UCF main campus in Orlando.
Rosen(Universal Orlando Foundation Library at the Rosen College of
Hospitality Management) Provides a unique collection of materials in support of the
Hospitality Management program at the Rosen College campus.
LSSC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake: Videos can be
requested at the Service Desk and must be viewed by students in the library. Full-time
faculty may check out videos for two weeks, adjunct faculty for one week.
LSSC - Leesburg Campus Library: The Media department is
located next to the library. Videos must be viewed in-house. Full-time faculty may
check out videos for two weeks, adjunct faculty for one week.
Borrowing Materials:
LSSC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake and the LSSC -
Leesburg Campus Library: To obtain a library card, take your UCF ID to the Service
Desk for validation. Students may borrow up to 15 items on any one subject at a
time for a period of 3 weeks. Items may be renewed once for 3 additional weeks.
For lost items, you will be billed for the cost of replacement plus a $30.00 processing
fee. Faculty are given semester borrowing on most items.
To check out materials held by the Lake County Public
Library System, please obtain a Lake County Library Card by presenting your UCF ID
AND one proof of residency at the Circulation Desk (see
http://www.mylakelibrary.org/virtual_library/library_cards).
LSSC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake: Public access
to a variety of computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
and Access, as well as the Internet and e-mail are provided on the 2nd floor of
the library and in the library computer lab.
LSSC - Leesburg Campus Library: The open computer lab is
located in the Library.
Information Resources :
Most library and information services provided on LSSC and UCF campuses are available
to faculty, students, and staff at the joint-use library in South Lake and in Leesburg.
UCF's catalog
can be searched online from the UCF Libraries home page (http://library.ucf.edu/).
Databases that
index and provide access to journal articles are also provided. Some databases must
be used in the library. Almost all databases are available from non-network or remote
sites.
Interlibrary Loan :
You may borrow items from other libraries by filling out
the UCF Interlibrary Loan (ILL) form
available on the Internet. You also need to fill out the ILL form to borrow items
from the UCF Library in Orlando from an LSSC location. Be sure to indicate where
you want the material sent.
LSSC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake and the LSSC -
Leesburg Campus Library: Librarians conduct general and subject-specific library
instructions classes. Individual, one-on-one sessions can also be requested. To
arrange for library instruction, contact a reference librarian at 352-536-2187.
Printing/Copying :
LSSC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake and the LSSC -
Leesburg Campus Library: Computer printouts cost 10 cents per page. Photocopies
cost 10 cents per page. Faculty have access to copiers in the Higher Education Facility
in Clermont.
Printing service is available by adding money to the UCF ID card at the SAM machine on both floors. The photocopiers only take coins, $1 and $5 bills, and return change for the remaining unused balance.
Most proprietary databases can be accessed from non-network
sites using EZProxy and require only a UCF library number (which is on your UCF
ID card).
Reserve Materials :
LSSC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake and the LSSC -
Leesburg Campus Library: Items on reserve can be requested at the Service Desk.
Request an item by course name, number, or professor. Loan periods vary and usually
depend on the faculty member.
