The Research and Information Department is here to help you use the UCF Libraries and its resources, and to help find high-quality, relevant information. We provide both immediate assistance and instruction to UCF students, faculty, employees and members of the community. The Research and Information Librarians frequently help patrons:
The Research and Information Department is multifaceted and includes the following units:
| Ask a Librarian | Answering brief questions via telephone, e-mail, and chat. |
| Government Documents | Collecting government publications and helping people find government information. |
| Patents | Providing patents, patent search software, and limited patent assistance. |
| UCF Information Source | Serving community patrons through a fee-based service. |
| Research Consultation | One-on-one appointment with a librarian for extensive, in-depth research assistance. |
