Show and Tell Poster Sessions

Poster sessions are a unique opportunity to share with a wide range of professional colleagues. Poster sessions may cover an array of topics such as, but not limited to, reports on library projects and programs, research studies, current and future trends, and problem analysis. Poster session presenters will create high quality visual material to cover a 4 foot by 8 foot area and will be expected to discuss their poster session with other conference attendees.

To Apply

Simply fill out the web submission form. The deadline for submitting an application is January 22, 2010. All applicants will be notified by February 5, 2010.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What materials does FLA provide?

FLA will provide the display board if requested in the original application. All other materials, including pushpins, tape, or other adhesive material, must be provided by the presenter. If you wish to use a laptop or other electrical device you must provide the power source. FLA can not guarantee the presence of power outlets and can not supply extension cords.

  2. Must I be present for my poster session?

  3. Am I allowed to request a time?

Unfortunately no. FLA will assign you a specific time and date for your poster session.

  4. May I cancel my poster session once I have been accepted?

In order for the FLA Annual Conference to be a successful and worthwhile experience, FLA counts on your support and participation. If your poster session is selected we expect you to present on your assigned day and time.
