Admit it: when they start to sing The Harp That Once Through Tara's Halls or The Rose of Tralee or MacNamara's Band, you are not as sure of the words as you might be.
You can mumble some words and smile as if you know the lyrics on March 17. Or you can prepare by going to the UCF Library Catalog and search for Folk music--Ireland or search for key words like Irish and Music. Or search for performers like the Irish Tenors, some great-sounding lads.
You'll be as happy as a leprechaun at the end of the rainbow, because the library has books, CDs, and even recorded music in databases that you can listen to right there at your computer.
It's only a legend that all Irish can sing---Pierce Brosnan proved that in the movie Mama Mia---but you can at least try. And enjoy yourself----Happy St. Patrick's Day!
