Call for Papers for Connecting the Community extended to November 15, 2005.
The University of Central Florida Libraries and the African American Studies Program invite proposals for individual papers, complete panels and roundtable discussions on Zora Neale Hurston, Andre Smith, and the formation of African-American communities in Central Florida, especially Eatonville. We encourage papers that examine the idea of space and place and racial and ethnic boundaries in community formation within the context of the American South, the Caribbean and/or the Atlantic World.
