The African American Studies Program and the Carol E. Mundy African American Cultural & Diasporic Research Center commemorates Black History Month with selections from "American Legacy: The Carol Mundy Collection." This exhibit was the part of the Center's first research project entitled The Apopka Project, Pt. 1. The research included key individuals who were instrumental in creating, maintaining and sustaining Apopka's African American community in the early 20th century including Ella Walls, Stephen Hooper, and Michael Gladden. The exhibit includes vintage photographs and historical documents. The exhibit will be on display on the Main Library's main floor until February 27.
