Deb Ebster, Head of the Library, recently received confirmation from the World Tourism Organization (WTO) headquarters in Madrid, Spain, that the Library's application to become a WTO Depository Library has been accepted.
WTO Depository Libraries receive all official WTO publications, many of which contain vital statistics related to travel and tourism around the world, and there are only four academic libraries in the United States which have this distinction.
As the leading international organization in the field of travel and tourism, the WTO is vested by the United Nations to help member countries reap the full benefits of the cultural and social effects of tourism.
