DVD Players Now Available

Updated on: Oct 20, 2004 @ 9:56:00 am

Periodicals/AV will be checking out Portable DVD Players for use in the Library and at home. The Samsung players have a 10 inch-wide screen, built-in speakers or jacks for headset use, and operate using a battery pack or a power cord; adaptors are also available for use in cars or with other 12 volt systems. The players will play CDs as well as DVDs. Our initial plan is to limit the use of 7 players to in-building use with a 4-hour loan period; another 7 players will be available for 24-hour loan outside the building. These loan periods may be modified in the future depending upon public demand and usage.
Stop by the 3rd. floor and sample this exciting new technology.
