Adjunct Search

As mentioned in the last issue, Jamie Conklin, our longtime adjunct reference librarian, left in December to accept a full-time position out-of-state. Unfortunately, the budget still will not allow us to hire a full-time reference librarian. However, we have undertaken a search to hire a new adjunct librarian and will let you know when the new person is on board.

UWC Hours:

Keep in mind that the University Writing Center (UWC) is offering writing assistance on the Rosen campus again this semester. Please encourage your students to take advantage of this service. You might even consider offering extra credit or other incentives to visit with a UWC consultant.

Writing experts will be available, in the Rosen Library study rooms:

  • Mondays 12:00 - 2:45 p.m.
  • Thursdays 11:00 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.

Students can visit http://uwc.cah.ucf.edu (and click on the TutorTrac logo) or call 407-823-2197 to set up an appointment. Walk-ins without appointments will also be helped, if availability permits. The UWC also offers remote consultations by phone, chat, or Adobe Connect.
