New InterLibrary Loan System

Posted on: Jan 4, 2005 @ 9:22:00 am

The Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services migrated to a new system, ILLiad. You will be able to:

  • submit requests from the ILLiad webpages,
  • eventually submit requests directly from FirstSearch, EBSCO, CSA, and Ovid databases,
  • track the status of their request,
  • keep a history of their requests that have been submitted via ILLiad,
  • renew requests online,
  • make corrections to requests that have been submitted,
  • cancel requests at any time, and
  • pick up their article requests directly from the website.
The Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Department is trying out a new pilot program. This pilot program, Desktop Delivery for Faculty, allows faculty on the main campus to submit requests for items that are owned by UCF. The ILL/DDS staff will pull the requested material, scan and send articles directly to their desktop. Books will be pulled and held at the circulation desk.
If you have any questions about ILLiad, please do not hesitate to stop by the Interlibrary Loan Department. We will be happy to show you how to use the new system.
