Please join us in the library as we present our most recent exhibit, Orlando's Historic Restaurants, from now through mid-August. The exhibit, produced in collaboration with the Orange County Regional History Center, features artifacts from historic local restaurants of the 1920s through recent times.
Among the items on display are vintage photographs, menus, postcards, and other items from iconic Orlando eateries such as the Latch String Tea Room (1930s-1950s), Piccadilly Cafeteria, Ronnie's Restaurant (1956-1995), Lee's Lakeside (1980-2005), and notably Gary's Duck Inn (1945-1994), which provided the inspiration for Bill Darden's Red Lobster seafood chain.
For more information, please call the library at 407-903-8100 or stop by in person.
